The RN Patient Flow is a professional nurse who functions under the direction of the Director, Patient Flow and is responsible for shift operations including: leading staff (does this position lead others?), activities and services, care and labor for a department within the Patient Flow (was this division added or is it still Bed Control) division (is this a division or department) of Wellstar. The RN Patient Flow has responsibility for implementing standards of practice, interpreting system and department policies and procedures and ensuring quality patient care and compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. The RN Patient Flow is responsible for patient/customer satisfaction and appropriate reporting along with coordinating department functions with the operations of other hospital departments to maximize patient flow and interdepartmental efficiency. The RN Patient Flow contributes to the strategic planning process by leading operations to fulfill the mission, vision, and strategic goals. He/she is responsible for employee development with an emphasis on patient flow standards.
Required Minimum Education : Graduate from an accredited RN program or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing. Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification : Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia.
Required Minimum Experience : 1 year of acute inpatient work experience preferred
Required Minimum Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Works well with others in a collaborative, team-focused, patient centered way. Communicates effectively both orally and in written form with all levels of internal and external resources. Analytical skills necessary to solve technical and clinical challenges. Sufficient clinical and leadership experience to ensure competence and credibility to lead others
