The Manager of Burn Trauma Program is a registered nurse who is responsible, in collaboration with Director of Burn Services, for the coordination of services and system elements required for the optimal care of the burn trauma patient and maintenance as a verified/designated burn trauma program as set forth by the guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons Burn Trauma Center Verification Program or State designated burn trauma program.
Required Minimum Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (Master of Science in Nursing with a clinical concentration in burn trauma, Emergency or relevant field preferred).
Required Minimum Experience
Two years of progressive experience in nursing management required.
Required Minimum Certification
Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC and ATCN certification preferred
Required Minimum Skills: Minimum of three to five years. Progressive management/supervisory experience preferred. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact productively with both internal and external personnel at all levels of the organization, patients, families, physicians and staff, to promote the optimal care of patients and the optimal functioning of the burn trauma program. Previous experience in Level I or Level II state designated burn trauma
