WellStar Atlanta Medical Center South is looking for a Manager to join their Respiratory Team!

The Respiratory Manager is a registered respiratory therapist who is responsible for coordinating the management of Respiratory Care & Neurodiagnostic Departments. He/she is responsible for directing overall standards of age appropriate patient care, financial performance, and human resource management and for coordinating departmental functions with the clinical operations of the system RT departments and other hospital departments to assure quality services at a reasonable cost for patients. Based on the expanded educational knowledge and experience, he/she is responsible for directing age specific respiratory care practices that address the biological, developmental, psychosocial, and clinical needs of the patient and/or family. This position directs and documents improvement activities using the Focus PDCA model. Performance of this job will also require a close working relationship with the Medical staff and Respiratory Care Leadership.


Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree; preferred Master’s degree in related field of leadership.

Required Minimum Certification: Current RRT license in GA, or ability to obtain, required. BLS required, ACLS preferred

Required Minimum Experience: Five to eight years of RT experience with three to five years in RT management.

Required Minimum Skills: Demonstrates evidence of positive leadership abilities/interpersonal relationships including team building and problem solving skills of above average clinical practice. Communication skills and strong computer skills preferred.
