Responsibilities

WellStar is looking to add a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to its Atlanta Medical Center Employee Health team!!

The Medical Assistant functions under the direction the Employee Health Director, and/or clinic team lead. Answers phones, triage calles, and handles calls appropriately and according to customer service standards. Provides care for the patient under the clinical team lead’s direction. Duties includes checkin of employees, performing VS, coordinating employee needs for visit and recording activities in electronic medical record. Demonstrates competency and skills to serve all employee populations. Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education : High School diploma required. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Required Minimum Certification : Certified Medical Assistant and current BLS from the American Heart Association

Required Minimum Experience : 1-3 years experience performing clinical duties. Work experience in a clinical setting required. Computer experience required. Specific experience in phlebotomy required.

Required Minimum Skills : Must be organized and attentive to detail. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction. Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language. The employee should also be able to display a positive attitude (see WellStar's "Standards of Gold"). The employee must be willing to travel to various sites to perform job duties.
