WellStar Health Systems Infection Preventionist in lagrange, Georgia
At WellStar we all share common goals. That’s what makes us so successful – and such an integral part of our communities. We want the same things, for our organization, for our patients, and for our colleagues. As the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Georgia, this means we pride ourselves on investing in the communities that we serve. We continue to provide innovative care models, focused on improving quality and access to healthcare.
We have an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the role of an Infection Preventionist, who is responsible for surveillance to identify healthcare associated infections (HAIs) and public reporting.
We are proud to have Infection Preventionists at each hospital site who are certified by The Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. These Infection Preventionists are specially trained nurses and medical lab professionals that work with Infectious Disease doctors and medical team members across the system to ensure the safest infection-free care possible.
Our Infection Preventionists are active members of the Georgia Infection Prevention Network, one of the oldest networks of this kind in the country, and the national and Atlanta chapters of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc., as well as The Infectious Diseases Society of America. These networks, along with our very close working relationship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), allow us to be educated, informed and prepared to provide the highest level of infection prevention possible for all of our patients across the system.
