Responsibilities

Under the management of the Laboratory Manager or designee, this employee performs technical and non-technical duties within the Laboratory. Duties include but not limited to WellStar EPIC Patient Care system registration, WellStar EPIC Patient Care system laboratory test order entry. Contacting or notifying physicians of issues with orders, resolving customer service issues. This position also includes other responsibilities such as maintaining standing order system so that State Regulations are followed, assisting PAS with any questions regarding lab patients, pending logs, and staying up to date on all EPIC revisions and additions.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Minimum Experience: One year of previous computer skills required. Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience in Health Care environment preferred.

Required Minimum Certification: Not required

Required Minimum Skills: Requires excellent customer service skills, able to demonstrate good communication skills, requires efficient and accurate computer skills, must be able to work and maintain professional demeanor under stressful conditions; requires sufficient multi-tasking and organizational skills, must be able to gracefully maintain composure in difficult situations.
