Responsibilities

The Director Graduate Medical Education (GME) Hospital Outpatient Operations has primary responsibility to oversee the management of GME clinics operated by Kennestone Hospital (HOD’s). This position leads with an operational focus, setting strategy, objectives and policies.

This individual directs, supervises and coordinates the overall operation of GME Clinic Services. This includes compliance with hospital policies to be Joint Commission compliant as well as compliant with the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

This leader will create, implement and monitor guidelines for GME practices to effectively work with GME Program Residents and Faculty. A positive patient experience within clinical services will be maintained to be consistent with WellStar’s model of world-class healthcare. He/she will lead activities within a larger multi-faceted healthcare delivery system to create a consistent experience and to ensure high-quality, safe patient care is delivered to GME clinic consumers.

In addition, the Director will be responsible for integration of new faculty and residents to existing GME clinics as well as lead efforts in support of expansion of other programs or service offerings.

Qualifications

RequiredMinimumEducation:Bachelor’s Degree, Masters ‘s Degree Preferred

RequiredMinimumCertification: N/A

RequiredMinimumExperience:Five (5) years of proven healthcare management experience in growth and expansion initiatives in a multispecialty clinic. Knowledge of ACGME and Joint Commission requirements. Experience working in a teaching environment preferred

RequiredMinimumSkills:Microsoft, Kronos , Epic and Lawson experience preferred Skilled organizer who has the ability to engage physicians and staff. Accomplished communicator, team builder and facilitator who is inclusive, transparent, authentic and approachable. Ability to deal with complex technical/management problems, meeting deadlines and managing multiple concurrent projects.
