WellStar is looking to add a per-diem Exervise Instructor to it's Health Place team!!
The Exercise Instructor functions under the direction of the Program Supervisor and/or Aquatics Supervisor. Responsible for designing the components, choreography, and music (if applicable) of the assigned exercise class. Will lead participants through a safe and effective exercise class at the appropriate and established class style and intensity.
Required Minimum Education : High School diploma, GED or currently enrolled in high school. Current instructor certification required through any National Certification Organization to include but not limited to Mossa, NASM, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, AEA, IFTA, (or any nationally recognized land or water certification depending on class taught). Basic Life support certification required. First Aid and Basic Water Rescue certification also recommended, but not required.
Required Minimum Experience : Experience preferred but will train under supervisors direction.
Required Minimum Skills : Display strong motivation for community outreach and working with people. Displays excellent organizational, communication, and motivational skills. Displays excellent health and wellness lifestyle. Exercise independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative when performing roles.
