Responsible for providing leadership and managing all processes/services within Utilization Review; assumes responsibility for implementing standards of practice, evidenced based medical guidelines, departmental policies and procedures, and maintaining and guiding the quality of patient care delivered; assures staff and program compliance with CMS and Utilization Review established standards, practices, policies/procedures and regulatory requirements such as the Utilization Management Plan submitted to GMCF; responsible for financial performance, human resource management and staff engagement, appropriate reporting and for coordinating program functions with the operations of other hospital departments to assure quality services at a reasonable cost for patients. Creates an environment which enables the system to fulfill its mission and goals, fosters communication and collaborative practice with physicians and other departments.
Required Minimum Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. B.S.N. is preferred. Will consider years of experience in case management in lieu of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Required Minimum Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in the management of a multidisciplinary staff in the field of case management with at least 3-5 years of experience in a hospital environment is required.
Required Minimum Certification : Current RN license in the State of Georgia, required.
Required Minimum Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate team dynamics are nec
essary. Time management skills, leadership skills, prioritization skills and change management skills are necessary to focus on goal achievement for the system.
