WellStar Kennestone Hospital, a 663 bed facility that continues to earn its distinction as a “Top 100 Hospital”, is currently seeking a fulltime OB/GYN Physician to become a part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program. In this supervisory/teaching position, the qualified candidate must be trained in the evaluation and assessment of accredited GME competencies and demonstrate a strong interest in the education of the residents. Other responsibilities include:
Establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship with an active research component
Regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs and conferences
Encourage and support residents in scholarly activities
Provide onsite faculty physician supervision when residents are on duty at the hospital or ambulatory site
Evaluate resident performance in a timely fashion
Delegate portions of care to residents, based on the needs of the patient and the skills of the residents
