Serves as resource for regulatory requirements related to medication use for their area of responsibility.Stays abreast of medication safety activities and researches and advises on best practice solutions. Works in partnership with designated system locations to identify and address their support needs as they relate to medication safety. Provides a leadership role in instituting models that promote medication safety in all aspects of the medication management process. Assists in the execution of the vision and strategic plan of the system medication safety and quality programs.
Required Minimum Education :
Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Postgraduate residency preferred
Current pharmacy license in good standing with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy, or license eligible
Required Minimum Experience :
Minimum of 1 year hospital medication safety experience or completion of a PGY2 residency in medication use safety
Knowledge of regulatory standards: Joint Commission, CMS, Georgia Board of Pharmacy
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Familiarity with Epic preferred
Experience in an integrated health system preferred

Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Excellent organization and negotiation skills
Ability to build consensus among groups of diverse individuals with competing priorities
Ability to travel between sites, occasional out of town travel for seminars, etc.
