Atherton Place Senior Living Community

Atherton Place is Marietta’s most trusted resource for senior living. One of WellStar’s Senior Living Communities, we are located in Historic Marietta, Georgia, just minutes north of Atlanta on the campus of Kennestone Regional Medical Center. Opened in 1988, Atherton Place was one of the first independent living centers associated with a hospital in Georgia, and the first in Cobb County. It still is one of the few in the Southeast with a major health system affiliation. Our facility offers multiple levels of care, from independent to advanced care for seniors with memory needs. We offer senior living, personal care and memory care apartments. Atherton Place has served more than 1,100 seniors over the years and continues to be a leader in senior living. We believe in a team centered approach in everything we do and with every resident that we serve.

Responsibilities

Server / Wait Staff - Senior Living Responsible for delivering meals to residents in a professional, courteous and efficient manner, within our Atherton Place Retirement Community. Responsible for confirming and reconfirming orders delivered to correct residents. Represent Atherton Place and the Food Service Department in a professional and caring manner. Assists in maintaining health department code.

Assists residents and guests with all aspects of restaurant-style meal service for the Main Dining Room and/or the Azalea Floor Dining Room. Sets tables, takes food and beverage orders, serves hot and cold menu items and busses dirty dishes. Responsible for service to 12-25 residents and/or guests per meal (Two meals per 4-hour shift; Three meals per 8-hour shift). Responds to customer service requests and complaints. Completes charge tickets, comment sheets and other productivity reports as appropriate. Cleans assigned area at the end of meal period.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Minimum Experience : Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred .

Required Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary. Good basic math skills. Must be able to demonstrate a courteous and positive attitude while serving residents in a fast-paced setting. This is a front-line customer service position. Maintains CPR and/or First Aid certification.
